Oil companies look to Israel as next player in oil and gas
Houston-based ATP Oil & Gas Corp. on Feb. 24 arranged to buy five licenses in the Israeli portion of the Levantine basin an area around the historical Levant of Syria, Lebanon and Israel. ATP said the discovery holds about 25 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
