Old Testament

Was first written in Hebrew upon scrolls or rolls of parchment paper.
Theses were later translated into Greek, the oldest translation being known as the Septuagint of "Version of the Seventy" made at Alexandria , for the Alexadrian Library, by a company of seventy learned Jews under the patronage of Ptolemy Philadelphia around 285 BC.
The original order came from none other than Alexander the Great who when visiting Jerusalem in 332 BC learned of the prophecy in Daniel that predicted Grecia was to overthrow the Persian Kingdom.

This was the version in common use in Christ's time.

No other book can answer the questionings of the mind or satisfy the longings of the heart as does the Bible.
During all its history a Divine watch has secured it in its completeness through the Ages.
