At Jesus birth he was given gold,frankincense and myrrh.
Gold signifies the purity of Jesus.
Frankincense indicates the pleasant aroma that goes forth and pleases God.
Myrrh is the interesting gift as in olden times it was used as an embalming agent.
They would wrap the body with myrrh in between the cloth wrapping.
Now you would wonder why this would be a gift the wise men would consider for Jesus.
But I think it signifies that Jesus was born to die for our sins.
