One advantage to the World Empire will be the total inability to evade taxes.
In America if they raised the taxes too much on the rich they could simply move to another part of the world.But a world empire would make that not an option!!!
Also the computer chip technology would make all your records available to the powers that be. They could investigate any unusual buying/selling patterns.
